ΧΥΖ – Letters of an Alphabet

Letters of an alphabet and variables of mathematic equations. And yet so many hidden meanings lie behind them. Ideas, history, art and culture are just some of them. In between societies, countries and scientific fields, we often observe them change appearance and use.

However, they never quit bearing all those different meanings they have carried for centuries. Letters we may not know, but always seem familiar. Unique letters, dependable parts of a larger image, of a whole where no loss can be forgiven.

Does this also apply to humans?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxAUEB, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxAUEB event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
